Pawty is developed in Slovenia, together with a cockapoo. That is worth knowing before you read the rest.
Every skill in Pawty is taught by rewarding the behaviour you want. Food, praise, play, or a marker sound from the built-in clicker or whistle.
Pawty does not use, teach or recommend aversive methods. No prong collars, no electric collars, no choke chains, no alpha rolls, no shouting, no physical corrections. Not as a last resort, not for stubborn dogs, not at all.
Sessions in Pawty are 3 minutes long. Dogs learn better in short bursts than in long sessions, and short bursts are the ones that actually happen on a Tuesday evening.
You rate each session from 1 to 5 paws. Three good sessions in a row marks a skill as mastered. That is a deliberately low bar, because a dog that can sit reliably in your kitchen has genuinely learned something.
The 12-week starter plan has review weeks built into it. Streaks freeze instead of resetting. There are no red badges, no guilt messages, and no notification telling you that you have let your dog down.
Most dog training content is written as though the owner has unlimited time. Most owners do not. Pawty is written for the second group.
The 32 behaviour guides cover biting, barking, pulling, chewing, jumping and the rest. Most of them carry a plain statement that the behaviour is normal for the dog's age.
A 4-month-old puppy biting hands is not a broken dog. Telling owners that early prevents a lot of panic, and a lot of dogs being handed back.
Nala is a cockapoo, food motivated, and completely deaf to recall when there is a squirrel. Every exercise gets tried on her before it goes in the app. She is the reason several of them were rewritten.
Pawty is educational content. It is not veterinary advice and it is not a substitute for a qualified trainer or behaviourist.
See a veterinarian if your dog shows a sudden change in behaviour, signs of pain, or a health problem. Behaviour changes can have medical causes.
See a qualified behaviourist in person if your dog has bitten a person or another dog, guards food or objects with growling or snapping, shows aggression on the lead, or panics when left alone. These cases need someone in the room. They cannot be solved through an app, and we will not pretend otherwise.
You know your dog. If an exercise in Pawty makes your dog frightened or uncomfortable, stop it.
