Zoomies (FRAP)

All behaviour guides

Why it happens

Frenetic Random Activity Periods, sudden racing laps, are a normal energy release, classic after baths and in the evening.

What works

  1. Let them run in a safe space, zoomies are healthy and self-limiting, usually under 5 minutes.
  2. Move the party: open the garden door or clear the hallway of obstacles.
  3. Frequent frantic zoomies can signal under-stimulation, add daytime sniffing and training.

What makes it worse

  • Do not chase to stop it, you just joined the game.
  • No zoomies near stairs, slippery floors or roads, manage the terrain, not the joy.

Keep this in mind

Zoomies are one of the purest expressions of dog happiness. Enjoy the show, it is free entertainment.

What owners usually need for this

  • Non-slip rug

All of these are in the Pawty Marketplace, filtered to retailers that deliver to your country.
